Layout Pics

Original Index:

Me in a Chinese top and matching pants, with a grown-up Chibiusa in the background, and my rendition on an easel in front of me. I chose this for the index page because it's very much something I would wear in real life, that's my real computer chair, I often run around in socked feet, and I often draw grown-up Chibiusa.

5-1-01

Original Dress Designs:

Me in a red dress (the one I designed for Jennine) sitting on the moon. It looks a little like the Betty Boop float in the Macy's Day parade, though.

5-31-01

Original Guest Art:

Me in a gothic red dress that I actually own, being drawn by my friends Mara, Hime-chan, and Jessie, respectively.

5-17-01

Original Links Page:

Me in pink (hey, it's shade of red!) vinyl. I chose a sexy outfit for the Links page because so few people go to the Links sections of pages, and I wrapped myself up in chains because, well, chains have links, right?

5-25-01

Original Original Art:

Me in a red tank top and jeans that I also do own, holding plushies of my original characters, IQ, Skye, and Crissy Li.

Original Other Art:

Me in a light pink toga (based on one I own) holding the hands of Chun Li and Rainbow Brite, both whom I have drawn, and I consider to be goddesses of animation. ^.^

Original Requests:

Me in a red dress that I do own, holding a red heart as a gift. I really like the perspective on this picture. It's semi-based on a picture Naoko Takeuchi did with Hino Rei.

5-6-01

Original Sailor Moon Art:

Me dressed up as Sailor Mars.

5-6-01

Original Polls Page:

Me dressed up in a black shirt I really own and red pants, just looking endearing.

7-27-01

Halloween Index:

Me dressed up as a kitty, Chibiusa dressed up as a Spanish maiden, based on my original index image.

Halloween Dress Designs:

Me dressed up as Maid Marian, based on my original dress designs image.

Halloween Guest Art:

Me dressed up as a flapper, Mara dressed up as a witch, Hime-chan dressed up as a bunny, and Jessie dressed up as a fairy, based on my original guest art image.

Halloween Links Page:

Me dressed up as a clown--I figured it would be ironic to put a very silly costume on a very sexy pose, based on my original links image.

Halloween Original Art:

Me dressed up as a French maid, based on my original original art image.

Halloween Other Art:

Me dressed up as a harem girl, based on my original other art image.

Halloween Requests:

Me dressed up in a poodle skirt, based on my original requests image.

Halloween Sailor Moon Art:

Me dressed up as a saloon girl, based on my original Sailor Moon image.

November Index:

Drawn by GUYVER33. I chose it because I am drawing in this picture. Computerized background added by me.

November Dress Designs:

Drawn by Karin. I chose it because I am wearing so many different outfits in it.

November Guest Art:

Drawn by Shiryu. I chose it because someone drew me with Terry! Which I love!

November Links Page:

Drawn by Hime-chan. I chose it because she is the closest link I have, being my sister site. Computerized background by me.

November Original Art:

Drawn by SweetyT. I chose it because she was the first person to draw one of my original characters for me.

November Other Art:

Drawn by Kari. I chose it because she was the first person to draw non-Sailor Moon fanart for me.

November Requests:

Drawn by Jessie. I chose it because it looked like I had just finished drawing in the little book marked "Crimson Sky Creations". Computerized background added by me.

November Sailor Moon Art:

Drawn by Jennifer. I chose it because it was the first fanart of Sailor Moon drawn for me.

Christmas Image:

This was another replica of the very first image I used on Crimson Sky Creations, only I am wearing a Santa-inspired dress, and Chibiusa is wearing a top hat and a sash for the New Year.

My rather lovely, if I do say so myself, layout image for the new design of Crimson Sky Creations in 2002.

My 2002 Halloween image, based on my 2002 normal image.
My Halloween 404 image, again based off of my original 404 page.

The first image is the normally colored drawing that was the base of my layout pic, the second is the tinted pic I actually used for June 2003. I went with a graduation theme.

The first image is the normally colored drawing that was the base of my layout pic, the second is the tinted pic I actually used for June 2003. I went with a beach theme.
Ain't that always the way? This summer was pretty rainy. Anyway, this was my 404 page for August 2003.
My September layout image, both normal and coloreized. The drawing was schoolgirl outfit of my own design for a back to school theme for September 2003.
My September 2003 404 page.
The first image is the normally colored drawing that was the base of my layout pic, the second is the tinted pic I actually used for October 2003. I tried to pick a generic Halloween costume, and decided on being a witch.
My October 2003 404 page. I just wanted a scary image...and The Ring was the scariest movie I had seen all year.
The first image is the normally colored drawing that was the base of my layout pic, the second is the tinted pic I actually used for November 2003. I am dressed in traditional Iroquois wear.
My November 2003 404 page.
The first image is the normally colored drawing that was the base of my layout pic, the second is the tinted pic I actually used for December 2003. I went with an angel of peace theme.
My December 2003 404 page.
My image map for 2004 (sans the Crimson Sky Creations logo.) I drew myself as the goddess of the crimson skies...and I don't know why I went with a film strip for the gallery buttons. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
My 2005 layout image, based loosely off of a drawing of Primera from Magic Knight Rayearth. Because I was making the site all red and black, I based my outfit on a red and black Chinese dress I used to own. (The gloves are just for fun.)

Backgrounds

Yes...I made this myself. It's supposed to look like when the sky is that really deep red on one horizon, and is a really deep blue on the other, and the stars are just beginning to come out.
By this point, I was desperate for red skies. Any shade of red. I was beginning to think purple was a shade of red.
This was a black sky with red stars.
This was supposed to be white clouds in a pale pink sky, very hazy.
Again, really stretching the "crimson skies" theme, here, this probably just came with PhotoMAX.
Another one I did towards the end, so I was getting a little desperate and using purple backgrounds.
This was the background was probably the closest to the whole "crimson sky" theme besides the index page, being a reddish sunset.
This background was probably the coolest out of all the original backgrounds. I don't remember how I got that neat radiating effect.
A cranberry background made by Susan Torres.
A striped background made by Susan Torres.
I finally got the "crimson sky" thing right! This background is GORGEOUS. Taken off of Google's image search.
I really like this dawn background, too. Taken off of Google's image search.
This got blown up a little too much so it wouldn't repeat, but it's still a really nice pic of clouds. Taken off of Google's image search.
This is REALLY blown up too much, and it looks pixelated. But the colors are great. Taken off of Google's image search.
A very orange sunset. Taken off of Google's image search.
A photo from outer space with red stars. Taken off of Google's image search.
A photo from outer space of a red super nova. Taken off of Google's image search.
A really neat apocolyptic red sky. Taken off of Google's image search.
Just some cute little snowflakes in the background. I got the snowflake off of Google's image search, made it blue, and made it into a wallpaper.
The former background, but slightly obscured.
The pink layout I made in Paint Shop Pro, designed to look like rosy clouds, for my 2004 layout.
Background for 2009 layout A photo of the Witch Head Nebula from Astrophotography.

Other

I had doodled this picture of Princess Mars outside her castle on Mars, looking up at the dual moons, in the top margin of one of my notebooks. It was so cute, but so small, I decided to use it as a guestbook button.
A very tiny picture of Chibiusa as Queen, that was also drawn in the top margin of one of my notebooks, so it got elected to be a guestbook button too. I really like both of these.
I made all of these buttons in PhotoMAX. This was the button for the index page.
The Dress Designs button.
The Guest art button.
The Links page button.
The Original art button.
The Other art button.
The Requests button.
The Sailor Moon art button.
This was the logo that was top of the Halloween layout. The picture of me is by me, but the logo itself was put together by Susan Torres.
These buttons were made in Paintshop Pro for my Christmas layout. This is the index button.

...and here
But this one I drew all on my own!

2006 Buttons

2006 introduced a new feature I had never done before: images that served as thumbnails to each different section of my website, all tweaked to look like the cover of a RENT CD. It was a lot of work, but it's pretty self-explanatory, so I'm not going to bother describing each one here, but rather just put them in a table for my own reference, and your enjoyment.

My 2007 layout image, based off of some product art for a PSP game called "Every Extend Extra". I really wanted a very cyber look (a feeling I obviously stayed in into 2008) and I was really, REALLY happy with the way this came out. All of the artwork in the back is from layouts I've used in the past, and the tendrils of my hair were used to superimpose the links to the various sections of the site.
A photo of the moon I superimposed my text over for the 2009 layout. I didn't mean for it to come out so MST3K looking. This linked back to the index page of the site.
A little star I made to be the bullet points of my expandable list.
This is the layout of the first floor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I edited out the middle area to make room for my logo, and color coded wings of the floorplan to represent the different sections of the site. For each section, I then blew up the wing of the museum and labeled the different rooms of the wings to represent the differnt subsections of each category.
I spent most of 2010 with no idea what I wanted to do for my 2011 layout. I'm on a number of mailing lists (somehow), and one of the weekly e-mails I get is for different DJs that play at various clubs around the city. Seeing all of those people in their "going out" attire inspired me. I hid several hints to my fandoms in my outfit.

2011 Text

I made neat little graphics to link to everything I could in 2011. I can't save everything, but here's what was on the index page.

2012-2013

Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon, done in my best Patrick Nagel impression. The full version is in storage.
Chun Li from Street Fighter, done in my best Patrick Nagel impression. The full version is in storage.
Rogue from X-Men, done in my best Patrick Nagel impression. The full version is in storage.
Umi from Magic Knight Rayearth, done in my best Patrick Nagel impression. The full version is in storage.
Rainbow Brite from Rainbow Brite, done in my best Patrick Nagel impression. The full version is in storage.
Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena, done in my best Patrick Nagel impression. The full version is in storage.

2014

For the galleries button, I chose Eternal Sailor Moon in the last pose you see her in during the dancing portion of the Sailor Stars opening. I chose to make her silhouette white, since I think of that as "her color" (probably due to her princess gown being white, and Chibimoon having an even stronger claim on pink.) The first image is the darkened version you saw normally, the second is the "lit up" version you saw when you moused over the thumbnail. The full, unedited version is in storage.
For the storage button, I chose Super Sailor Mercury in the last pose you see her in during the dancing portion of the Sailor Stars opening. The first image is the darkened version you saw normally, the second is the "lit up" version you saw when you moused over the thumbnail. The full, unedited version is in storage.
For the site stuff button, I chose Super Sailor Mars in the last pose you see her in during the dancing portion of the Sailor Stars opening. The first image is the darkened version you saw normally, the second is the "lit up" version you saw when you moused over the thumbnail. The full, unedited version is in storage.
For the galleries button, I chose Super Sailor Jupiter in the last pose you see her in during the dancing portion of the Sailor Stars opening. The first image is the darkened version you saw normally, the second is the "lit up" version you saw when you moused over the thumbnail. The full, unedited version is in storage.
For the galleries button, I chose Super Sailor Venus in the last pose you see her in during the dancing portion of the Sailor Stars opening. The first image is the darkened version you saw normally, the second is the "lit up" version you saw when you moused over the thumbnail. The full, unedited version is in storage.
For the galleries button, I chose Super Sailor Chibimoon. Since she's not in the opening to Sailor Stars, I based her pose on Sailor Moon's "Moon Power" (when she uses the disguise pen). The first image is the darkened version you saw normally, the second is the "lit up" version you saw when you moused over the thumbnail. The full, unedited version is in storage.
I didn't do anything fancy for my first 404 page in years; just a darkened version of the full drawing of Eternal Sailor Moon.
